Club news 14 December 2020

Well done Danny: A well-deserved accolade has been bestowed on one of our club Presidents Danny Hatton. Danny has been honoured with a lifetime achievement award by Wicklow GAA. Danny has indeed given a lifetime of service to the GAA as a player, coach and administrator. Normally, the awards are distributed at a gala dinner but we’ll have to wait and see if this will be possible. Suffice to say the whole club is immensely proud of you.

WIN A CAR FOR €10! This year, for public health reasons, we can’t hold our annual Christmas draw. So instead, we’re selling tickets for the GAA national draw. There are some amazing prizes including a new Renault car, cash and All-Ireland final tickets. Please do support, so that we can keep our membership fees low and continue to improve our facilities. All proceeds go to the club.

Tickets are €10 and are available at https://eireoggreystones.com/national-club-draw-2021/

Minister Donnelly Launches Healthy Club Project: We were delighted to have Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly TD at Éire Óg grounds yesterday to launch or Healthy Club Project. The Healthy Club project aims to help GAA clubs explore how they support the holistic health of their members and the communities they serve. As part of the initiative, we have made our grounds a tobacco-free zone.
