Senior hurlers bow out of championship after battling display

Our senior hurlers exited the senior championship on Saturday despite an excellent and spirited performance against a fancied St Pat's side in Aughrim.

This match was in the balance until the very end, and it's one our lads could have won, but losing out by just two points in the end on a score line of 2-11:0-15.

Senior men's footballers in championship quarter finals

Our senior footballers will be hoping to advance to the championship semi-finals this weekend when they face reigning champions Baltinglass in Aughrim at 4 pm on Saturday, 12 September.

Our footballers booked their place in the last eight and maintained their unbeaten record in the group stages by overhauling a six-point deficit to draw with Hollywood last weekend.

What a great day last Sunday in Ballinakill for our four U12 LGFA teams.

As we come towards the end of the season, these girls showcased how their skills and teamwork have developed and, how they're having great fun in the process too!

Mothers and Others on tour!

Huge well done to our Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others (G4MO)s ladies who travelled to Ashford last week.

It was fantastic to see all the ladies’ hard work in training paying off. It’s hard to believe that the majority of these ladies picked up Gaelic football as a new sport almost five years ago — and they’ve never looked back!

Their commitment, dedication and determination is a real testament to how far they’ve come. It’s no wonder they’re getting so many compliments!

U16 LGFA advance in championship

Our Division One U16 LGFA team have progressed to the knock-out stages of the "A" championship thanks to two excellent recent victories.

On 20 August, they defeated Annacurra 8-11:4-13 while this week, they followed this up with a 6-16: 7-11 defeat of Tinahely.

Junior C ladies footballers advance to semis

What a first season it's been for our second adult ladies footballers.

On Sunday 6th, they defeated Arklow away to secure passage to the Junior C championship semi-finals.

This match will take place in two weeks' time.

U13 boys "gearing" up nicely for championship!

Our U13 hurlers are flat out with the championship preparations and Roasted Brown are making sure they do it in style with their generous sponsorship of the team and their stunning new gear.

Massive thanks to Ferg, Sarah Jane and their team in the horse and hound for the support. Fantastic to see a local business supporting our club and these two fantastic team.

They will get an opportunity to show off their new style when they play Luke O'Tooles, at home on 7 Sept at 18:45.
