Adult ladies footballers go for glory!

Our adult ladies footballers have their biggest games in several years this Saturday when they face Baltinglass in the intermediate championship final at 1 pm in Baltinglass.

They showed all their class in the semi-final to earn a deserved victory over a fancied An Tochar side. Despite being against the elements in the second half, they dug deep to come out on top 3-05:1-07.

They approach the final with confidence but know that they will have to be at their best to take the title. They will need a big crowd to cheer them on, so let's see lots of you there supporting!

Scór na nÓg 2025

With action on the pitches coming to a close, focus shifts to the stage.

Éire Óg will once again take part in Scór na nÓg in various categories. Scór na nÓg is open to all registered club members (under 17) and has eight competition categories; Individual singing, ballad group, music group, set dancing, figure dancing, novelty acts, recitation and table quiz.

The competition is expected to take place in early November (date and venue TBC) with county champions in each category advancing to the Leinster semi-finals.

The club has enjoyed great success in recent years with county medals in the individual singing and set dancing competitions. We are always delighted to hear from club members interested in performing a recitation, singing a song (individually or as part of a ballad group) or by joining our grupa ceoil, our figure dancing, or our set dancing team. If the stage isn't your thing, then why enter a table quiz team!

Also, we have a fantastic group of homegrown Scór mentors but are always delighted to hear from members who might want to help prepare our Scór participants for competition in any of the above categories.

U16 girls footballers advance to division 2 league final

Our U16 girls footballers have booked their place in the Division 2 County Final after a phenomenal performance tonight against a very strong Bray side!

From the very first whistle, our girls showed determination, teamwork, and incredible grit. Their support play was top-class, setting up and finishing some fantastic scores in a truly spirited first-half display.

Bray came out fighting in the second half, but our defence stood tall. The girls put relentless pressure on their attacking line and refused to give them any breathing room. Every player gave it their all, showing just how much all the hard work at training is paying off !

Now, it's on to the final next week against St. Nicks of Dunlavin – time and venue to be confirmed.

Well done, girls – you've done your club proud.

U15 boys footballers finish season on a high

Well done to our U15 boys' footballers, who won the Group A trophy final this week with a great win over a strong Bray Emmets.

It was a nice way for the lads to finish up the season.

Rory Coyle, our captain, picked up the trophy on behalf of the team.

Templecarrig v St David's in ladies football derby

Well done to both Templecarrig and St Davids who played out an exciting junior ladies football match at Pairc Mhic Shuain de Barra last week. Our local second level schools are important partners of our club.

U16 Camogie Team win Division A Shield Champions

Eire Og Greystones 5-15 Knockananna 1-08

Huge congratulations to our fantastic U16 Camogie girls on a momentous win in a blustery Ballinakill on Wednesday, 12 September.

Our girls battled hard and demonstrated great resilience, particularly in the second half, to come away with a 9-point victory.

This group of girls have trained hard all season and for many of this group, winning back-to-back A shields is an amazing achievement!

Mothers and Others on tour!

Our Gaelic for Mothers & Others (G4M&O) group have been as busy as ever of late.

In the last two weeks, they've been on the road to both Bray Emmets and Wicklow Town, playing football, showing their skills and having fun!

If you'd like to get some exercise, have fun and meet new people, then come along to one of our sessions. No experience necessary!
