Club members recognised at awards ceremony

Everyone at Éire Óg, Greystones is super proud of our Garden County All-Star Award winners who received their awards last weekend.

Mixed fortunes for senior men's football and hurling teams

It was one victory and one defeat for our senior men's hurlers and footballers in their opening league matches.

On Friday, our senior footballers had a good win at home against Arklow on a scoreline of 1-15:0-05. However, our hurlers were defeated against St Pat's on the opening night of the league on Tuesday.

Where are they now?

We head to leafy Cambridge next to catch up with our latest Éire Óg exile-John Deeney.

It was affairs of the heart which took John, who becomes the second Deeney after big sister Caoilfhionn to feature in our series, across the water where he joined his girlfriend who is studying there.

John cites back-to-back minor football titles among his highlights. And he hasn't ruled out a return to the Éire Óg colours and has been togging out for Cambridge Parnells in preparation! Read John's recollections below.

Dinner dance and awards night

The social event of the year is back!
