Great start for both our adult camogie teams

It was two victories for our adult camogie teams in their opening league matches of the season this week.

On Tuesday, our division 3 team travelled to Arklow and in a thrilling game managed to just edge over the line with a last-minute point to secure the win on a scoreline of 1-10:2-08.

On Friday, our division 5 team travelled to Wicklow Town to play St Pat’s. After a serious battle, they came away well-deserved winners. Extra special well done to Teegan and Faye who made their adult debut and both had outstanding performances.

Senior men's footballers move to top of league with two victories

Two victories in consecutive weekends have left our senior men’s football in a strong position in division one of the league.

Last weekend, they travelled to Roundwood to face An Tochar. The team staved off a late comeback to win by two points, 0-11:0-09. On Friday, 4 April under the lights at Páirc Mhic Suain de Barra, the team put in a comprehensive performance to beat Baltinglass 1-15:0-09.

These results leave them with four wins from five and currently top of Division One. Their next league match is 18 April away to Rathnew.

Brilliant blitzing!

Our U10 ladies football team played their first blitz of the season last weekend. They travelled to Roundwood to play a series of matches.

A bit of early season rust was soon discarded as the girls started to find their rhythm

Looking forward to more blitzes to come.

Lots of club players feature on county teams

We’ve had several club players competing in championship action on Wicklow county teams across hurling, football and camogie in recently.

It’s not only a great honour for the players themselves but also for out club.
