CLUB PLAYERS IN COUNTY ACTION: There were mixed results for the county’s adults teams at the weekend. Regardless, several club players were to the fore. The Wicklow ladies football team had a great win against Carlow in the championship with Laurie Ahern, Katie Lawless and Megan Healy representing the club. The hurlers lost out to Offaly in the Christy Ring Cup, with Shuan Cranley and Peter Keane flying the club’s colours.
U15 HURLERS PROGRESSING WELL: This well-coached team showed the real progress they are making when they beat a skillful Arklow Rocks side at home this week. The next challenge will be a formidable one when they face Carnew in a fortnight.
WEEKLY LOTTO: The winning numbers in last week’s fundraising lotto were 3, 8, 16, 20. Nobody managed to match all four numbers, meaning that another €100 is added to the jackpot. Brendan Donohoe and Claire Thompson pick up the weekly cash prize. Get your tickets HERE.
