Club News 13 Feb 2023

Páirc Mhic Shuain/de Barra: You may have noticed the splendid new sign which now adorns our clubhouse. Our grounds are now officially called Páirc Mhic Shuain/de Barra in honour of John Barry and Tom Swan. John Barry and Tom Swan were the first two Presidents of the club. Without these two men, it is highly likely that the club would not be where it is now. Learn more about them HERE

Vandalism of our Grounds: Recently, the boundary walls of our grounds were defaced by graffiti, some of it racist. This follows other incidents of vandalism. Therefore, we have reluctantly made the decision to examine ways in which our club grounds are available to members only. Read our chairperson’s statement HERE.

Volunteers Needed for Éire Óg, All-Stars: We urgently need new volunteers for our Éire Óg, All-Stars Programme. Éire Óg All-Stars provides those with additional needs the opportunity to play Gaelic games in a fun, non-competitive and inclusive environment. It’s been a great success since we started it and we’re really keen to ensure that it continues.

A one-hour commitment per week is all that is required.
