Club News 31 January 2022

Ball Wall Gets Makeover: ‘Paint it and they will come’ that’s what the u17 hurlers said when we asked them how we could make training even more fun for our younger club members. But they didn’t just say it! They did it. The U17 hurlers made a plan, sketched the idea and created a new amazing ball wall for all to enjoy. Thanks to Brady’s Hardware in Greystones for sponsoring the paint, the coaches Mark Barry, Jim Darcy, Dave O’Regan and Brian Kane for supporting lads. Most of all thanks to the lads for giving back to the club. Can’t wait to see what the current U7s achieve in 10 years’ time with this kind of inspiration and encouragement!

Local Secondary School in Action: Great effort by St David’s Junior Boys (pictured) in the C Hurling Competition game which took place last week.  In their first hurling match for their school, they showed up really well despite losing to Arklow CBS A good effort too by Temple Carrig who despite losing to the same opposition in junior football last week, really gave it their all. Great to see Greystones secondary school competing so well in Gaelic games.
