Club News 24 April 2023

Bonanza of Blitzes: Small-sided games are now the staple of our younger juvenile teams. They are a great way to introduce children to Gaelic games in a fun, inclusive and non-competitive environment. This week, we had girls and boys playing across U8, U9 and U10 blitzes against teams including Ashford, Rathnew and Bray Emmets.

As ever, we thank the coaches, parents and guardians of our young people who have made it all happen. We’re looking forward to a long Summer of more fun.

Club Players in County Action: We’re sending our very best wishes to Oisin Murphy and Darragh Shanahan. They’re part of the Wicklow minor football team who play Louth this Wednesday in the Leinster championship quarter-final. The lads have played in both of the team’s victories over Carlow and Wexford so far.

A big well done too to Thea Sterrit who played at midfield for the Wicklow Ladies U14 footballers in their Leinster final win over Kilkenny this week.
