Welcome to this week’s club news,

Covid Latest: On 11 February, the GAA released a letter stating “it is the view of the GAA’s Covid Advisory group that no on-field activity will be permitted – training or games until Easter at the earliest. ln the interim, it is expected that the Government will publish an updated “Living with Covid” plan and we expect that this will provide clarity on when clubs and counties are likely to be allowed return to training and games in 2021.” Read the full letter https://eireoggreystones.com/covid-19/

Where are they now #1: In the first in our series of interviews with some of our former players we hear from Brussels based Caoimhe Ní Shúilleabháin. Caoimhe recalls her primary school days when knitting rather than Gaelic games was all that was on offer for girls. She reminisces about the junior football final of 2008 and cites Seamus Ahern as a big influence. Read Caoimhe’s story https://eireoggreystones.com/player-profiles/

Become a Referee: Wicklow GAA are now recruiting new referees for the 2021 season. They are looking for past players, current players, coaches, parents and supporters to complete this expression of interest form. Once we have a list compiled, we will then contact each person to outline the details on the planned training dates etc. Applicants should register via this LINK.

National club draw extended: The draw for all the great prizes in the GAA’s national draw has been extended from 10 March to 4 June. The decision was made to give clubs the opportunity (hopefully) to be able to sell tickets in person. So now you’ve got even more time to buy a €10 ticket to win prizes like a car or All-Ireland tickets. You can buy them here https://eireoggreystones.com/national-club-draw-2021/
