SENIOR FOOTBALLERS Our senior footballers travelled to Coolkenno on Sunday to play the locals in Div 1 of the league. ire g won on the score, 1-8 to 0-5, after a good tough but very sporting game. The ire g cause was greatly aided by the availability of county panellists Darren Hayden, Daniel Woods and Sammy Thompson.

MINOR FOOTBALL: Three of the team made their way on to the county panel, Eoin McTeague, Adam O’Shea and Cian O’Flaherty. The management expressed itself extremely pleased with the demeanour and team spirit developed among this group of players but was disappointed at the team’s season-end competitiveness being undermined by being forced despite pleas of unfairness (overlapping panels) to play an u-16 and u-18 match on the same day.
